Blurb for Forgotten Treasure, Book One of the Ozark Treasures series:
When a forgotten family heirloom resurfaces, art therapist Jaci Wilcox purchases the painting, hoping it will unlock the mystery of her father’s disappearance. But her purchase produces more questions than answers when she discovers a treasure map hidden within the canvas.
Heroine: Jaci Wilcox
The heroine of the main plot, Jaci Wilcox, is an art therapist who helps her best friend’s art gallery. Jaci is fairly quiet and enjoys using art therapy to help others push past trauma in their lives. Her favorite client is her young nephew, Noah, who stopped speaking the day he witnessed his sister’s murder.
Jaci’s primary goal in the story is to discover the truth about her father, who left a suicide note and disappeared during her teenage years. His body was never found, so she refuses to believe he killed himself. There isn’t evidence to prove otherwise until she receives a package addressed to her in her father’s handwriting.
- Will Jaci learn what happened to her father?
- Can she help Noah choose to speak again?
- Will she be able to forgive herself for her own dark secret?
